Are you a creative and detail-oriented individual with a passion for writing and editing? We are seeking a talented Creative Writer & Editorial Assistant to join our team at WordSmith Celebrity Author. As a growing company in the Writing & Editing, we are looking for someone to help us produce high-quality content and assist with various editorial tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write engaging and informative articles, blog posts, and social media content for our website and other platforms
• Research and fact-check information to ensure accuracy and credibility of content
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute creative content strategies
• Assist with proofreading and editing of written materials, including but not limited to website copy, marketing materials, and internal documents
• Manage and maintain editorial calendars, ensuring timely delivery of content
• Develop and maintain relationships with external contributors and freelance writers
• Stay updated on industry trends and news to identify potential content opportunities
• Assist with social media management and engagement to increase audience reach and engagement
• Provide support for various editorial tasks, such as organizing and managing files, keeping track of deadlines, and coordinating with different departments within the company
• Contribute ideas for new projects and initiatives to enhance our content offerings and improve our editorial processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in writing and/or editing, preferably in a digital media environment
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail
• Proficient in AP Style and SEO best practices
• Demonstrated ability to write compelling and engaging content on a variety of topics
• Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with a diverse team
• Passion for staying updated on industry trends and news
• Experience with graphic design and video editing is a plus
