About the Position: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wood Product Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee our production team and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and manufacturing, as well as excellent leadership and management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage a team of woodworkers, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure timely production and delivery of products
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Oversee the quality control process and address any issues or concerns as they arise
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and supply chain, to coordinate and streamline production processes
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning and address any maintenance needs
• Prepare and analyze production reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement
• Train and mentor employees on new techniques and processes to enhance skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in wood product manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, machinery, and materials
• Proven experience in production planning and scheduling
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to make quick decisions and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other production management software
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a manufacturing setting
• Ability to lift up to 5 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
