Position: Wood Product Production Manager

Location: Tanrake, Tuvalu

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Wood Product Production Manager to join our team. As the Wood Product Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process of our wood products, ensuring that they are manufactured to the highest quality standards. You will play a vital role in driving the success of our company by managing the production team, implementing efficient processes, and ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement production plans to meet company targets and customer demands
• Oversee the daily operations of the production department, including scheduling, staffing, and budgeting
• Ensure that production equipment is properly maintained and serviced to minimize downtime
• Monitor and improve production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize waste
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and procurement, to ensure that production meets customer needs and company goals
• Hire, train, and manage production staff, providing guidance and support to ensure a high-performing team
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to employees
• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed and maintain a safe working environment for all employees
• Oversee inventory management to ensure sufficient stock levels for production
• Analyze production data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in production technology to drive innovation and efficiency within the company

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Manufacturing, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in wood product production management
• Proven track record of successfully managing a production team and meeting production targets
• Strong knowledge of production processes and equipment
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Understanding of safety protocols and regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and production software
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
