Job Title: Data Steward

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Data Steward. As a Data Steward, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our organization's data assets. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of our data, as well as identifying and resolving any data quality issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data management principles and a passion for organizing and analyzing large datasets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity
• Maintain and update data dictionaries and data lineage documentation
• Identify and resolve data quality issues through data profiling and analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop data models
• Develop and maintain data validation and quality control processes
• Monitor data entry and data updates to ensure compliance with data standards
• Conduct data audits and identify areas for improvement
• Provide training and support to team members on data management best practices
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data management techniques
• Communicate data quality issues and resolutions to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
• Participate in data governance meetings and contribute to data strategy discussions
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and policies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in data management or data governance
• Strong understanding of data management principles and data quality best practices
• Proficiency in data analysis and data profiling tools
• Experience with data modeling and data mapping
• Knowledge of SQL and database management systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA, is a plus
