Position: Data Recovery Officer

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Recovery Officer to join our fast-paced and dynamic team. As a Data Recovery Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our company's data. You will be responsible for recovering lost or corrupted data, as well as implementing and maintaining data backup and recovery procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data recovery and a deep understanding of data protection laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct data recovery operations to retrieve lost or corrupted data from various storage devices such as hard drives, servers, and databases.
• Develop and implement data backup and recovery procedures to ensure the protection and accessibility of critical data.
• Monitor and maintain data storage systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve data recovery issues.
• Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices in data recovery and data protection.
• Conduct regular audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend solutions to enhance data security.
• Train employees on data backup and recovery procedures to minimize data loss and downtime.
• Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure data recovery processes comply with relevant laws and regulations.
• Prepare detailed reports on data recovery operations, including success rates and recovery times.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data recovery and data protection.
• Strong knowledge of data recovery techniques and tools, such as disk imaging, data carving, and RAID recovery.
• Familiarity with data backup and recovery software and systems.
• In-depth understanding of data protection laws and regulations, such as GDPR and HIPAA.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Relevant certifications, such as Certified Data Recovery Professional (CDRP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), is a plus.
