Key Responsibilities:

Create innovative and functional furniture designs that meet the company's design standards and customer needs
Research and analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor products to inform design decisions
Develop detailed sketches, drawings, and prototypes for new furniture designs
Collaborate with the design team to brainstorm and develop design concepts for new furniture collections
Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and ensure quality and cost-effectiveness
Oversee the production process to ensure designs are accurately executed and delivered on time
Conduct quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet design specifications
Continuously review and improve existing furniture designs to enhance functionality and appeal
Stay updated on industry advancements and trends in furniture design to bring fresh ideas and techniques to the company

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in furniture design, preferably in a fast-paced design firm
Strong portfolio showcasing a range of furniture designs and ability to effectively communicate design concepts
Proficient in 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or SolidWorks
Knowledge of materials, production processes, and furniture construction techniques
Excellent project management and time management skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
Ability to work collaboratively with a team and take constructive feedback
