Position: Science Education Coordinator

Location: Azure Peak Science Institute

Overview: Azure Peak Science Institute is seeking a passionate and experienced Science Education Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As the Science Education Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging and innovative science education programs for students of all ages. This role requires a strong background in science education, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement science education programs for students from primary to secondary level
• Create engaging and interactive lesson plans and activities that align with curriculum standards
• Train and support science educators in delivering program content effectively
• Collaborate with teachers and school administrators to identify areas of need and develop customized programs
• Conduct evaluations to measure the effectiveness of programs and make necessary improvements
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in science education and incorporate new techniques and technologies into program development
• Plan and organize science fairs, workshops, and other events to promote science education
• Develop partnerships and maintain relationships with external organizations to enhance program offerings
• Manage program budgets and resources effectively
• Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote programs and increase program participation
• Provide support to teachers and students in using science education resources and tools
• Maintain records and generate reports on program outcomes and impact

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science Education, Education, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in science education, preferably in a coordinating role
• Strong knowledge of science concepts and curriculum standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Proven experience in developing engaging and interactive lesson plans and activities
• Experience in using technology and digital tools in education
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Passion for science education and a desire to inspire students to pursue careers in STEM fields
