Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and innovation of new fabrics for our products
Collaborate with design and production teams to understand fabric needs and requirements
Conduct market research and stay updated on current fabric trends and technologies
Source and evaluate potential fabric suppliers and negotiate contracts
Manage fabric development projects from concept to production, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met
Work closely with suppliers to develop and test new fabrics, ensuring they meet our specifications and quality standards
Conduct fabric testing and analysis to ensure performance and durability
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all fabric development processes and results
Stay updated on industry regulations and standards related to fabric development and ensure compliance
Monitor and manage fabric development budget and costs

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fabric Science, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in fabric development and management
Strong knowledge of different fabric types, properties, and manufacturing processes
Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
In-depth understanding of quality standards and testing methods for fabrics
Proven track record of successful fabric development and innovation
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office and fabric design software
