Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain strategic relationships with wood suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality wood materials.
Source, negotiate and purchase wood materials from local and international suppliers.
Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to identify new suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and ensure timely delivery of wood materials.
Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing, and availability of wood materials to identify potential risks and opportunities.
Collaborate with other departments such as production and logistics to ensure that wood materials are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
Maintain accurate records of wood purchases, prices, and supplier information.
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to wood procurement, including sustainability and environmental standards.
Participate in budget planning and cost reduction initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in wood procurement, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of wood types, grades, and market prices.
Familiarity with supply chain and procurement principles.
Ability to analyze and interpret market trends and data.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
