Job Title: Mold Remediation Technician

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mold Remediation Technician to join our team. As a Mold Remediation Technician, you will be responsible for identifying, containing, and removing mold from commercial and residential properties. This is a hands-on role that requires physical labor and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in mold remediation and a strong understanding of safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify mold growth and water damage
• Develop and implement a remediation plan based on the severity and location of mold
• Safely remove and dispose of mold-infested materials, including drywall, carpeting, and insulation
• Use specialized equipment, such as air scrubbers and dehumidifiers, to contain and remove mold
• Clean and disinfect affected areas to prevent further mold growth
• Monitor and document progress of remediation to ensure effectiveness
• Communicate with clients about the remediation process and answer any questions or concerns
• Follow safety protocols and regulations to protect yourself and others from exposure to mold and hazardous materials
• Maintain and properly store equipment and materials used in the remediation process
• Complete necessary paperwork and recordkeeping for each job
• Collaborate with team members and contractors to complete projects on time and within budget
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and techniques for mold remediation

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in mold remediation or related field
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations for handling hazardous materials
• Ability to use and maintain specialized equipment
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in confined spaces
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Working Conditions:

• This position requires working in various environments, including homes, offices, and commercial properties
• May be exposed to mold and hazardous materials
• May be required to work in confined spaces and at heights
• May be required to work in inclement weather conditions
• Must be able to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time
