Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of networking technologies and possess excellent troubleshooting skills. As a Network Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our company's network infrastructure, ensuring its reliability and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner
- Implement network security measures to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access
- Collaborate with other IT teams to plan and implement network upgrades and expansions
- Create and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and configurations
- Assist in the development and implementation of network policies and procedures
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in networking technologies
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users for network-related issues
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed
- Travel to various locations as required for network installations and maintenance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in network administration or a related role
- Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLANs
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or other network equipment vendors
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed
