Key Responsibilities:

Provide reference and research assistance to patrons in person, over the phone, and through virtual platforms.
Assist patrons in navigating the library's catalog and electronic databases.
Conduct individual and group instruction sessions on how to use library resources effectively.
Evaluate and select materials for the library's collection based on patron needs and interests.
Organize and maintain the reference and periodical collection, ensuring materials are up-to-date and easily accessible.
Create and maintain subject-specific research guides and bibliographies.
Collaborate with other librarians and staff to develop and promote library programs and services.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and recommend their implementation to enhance library services.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a reference or research role.
Strong knowledge of online and print reference resources.
Familiarity with cataloging and classification systems.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in using technology and various software applications.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
