Job Title: Public Safety Officer

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Public Safety Officer. As a Public Safety Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the general public, employees, and property within our organization. You will play a crucial role in enforcing rules and regulations, responding to emergencies, and promoting a safe and secure environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol assigned areas on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to prevent and detect criminal activities and respond to emergency situations.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms, and investigate any suspicious activities or disturbances.
• Enforce laws and regulations, issue citations or warnings, and make arrests when necessary.
• Respond to medical emergencies, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency medical services if needed.
• Assist in evacuations during emergencies and ensure the safety of all individuals.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview witnesses in the event of a crime or incident.
• Maintain accurate and detailed reports of all activities, incidents, and investigations.
• Communicate effectively with the public, colleagues, and law enforcement agencies.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist individuals with inquiries or concerns.
• Attend training sessions and stay updated on laws, regulations, and procedures related to public safety.
• Participate in community outreach programs and events to promote public safety and crime prevention.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in law enforcement, security, or public safety.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and pass a thorough background check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and procedures related to public safety.
• Physical ability to patrol on foot or bicycle and respond to emergencies.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
