Location: Ibagué, Colombia

Overview: CraftTech Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machinery Operations Manager to join our team. As a Machinery Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our machinery department, ensuring efficient and timely production processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machinery operations, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise the machinery department, including hiring, training, and developing a team of operators, technicians, and other staff members
• Develop and implement strategies to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of machinery and equipment
• Monitor and analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase productivity and reduce downtime
• Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance, engineering, and quality, to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety audits and promoting a culture of safety among team members
• Develop and manage budgets for the machinery department, controlling costs and maximizing profitability
• Oversee inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels of spare parts and supplies for the machinery department
• Develop and implement training programs for machinery operators and technicians to ensure continuous improvement and up-to-date knowledge of equipment
• Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in machinery technology, making recommendations for equipment upgrades and replacements as needed
• Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the machinery department

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in machinery operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of machinery and equipment, including troubleshooting and maintenance procedures
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with different departments and stakeholders
• Proven track record of managing budgets and controlling costs
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
