Position Title: Ship Captain

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Ship Captain to join our team and oversee the operations of our vessel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maritime transportation, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. As a Ship Captain, you will be responsible for navigating the ship, managing the crew, and ensuring the safe and efficient transport of goods and passengers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute safe and efficient routes for the ship's journey
• Ensure that all necessary safety measures are in place and adhered to at all times
• Manage and oversee the crew, including hiring, training, and scheduling
• Monitor and maintain the ship's equipment and systems
• Communicate with onshore personnel to coordinate logistics, schedules, and any necessary repairs
• Handle any emergencies or incidents that may arise during the journey
• Maintain accurate records of the ship's activities, including cargo, passenger, and fuel logs
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
• Collaborate with port authorities, customs officials, and other relevant parties as needed
• Uphold high standards of customer service and satisfaction for passengers and clients
• Oversee the ship's budget and expenses, and report to management regularly

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies or related field
• Valid Captain's license and other relevant certifications
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Ship Captain
• Proven track record of successful voyages and safe navigation
• Strong leadership and managerial skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficient in navigation, ship maintenance, and emergency procedures
• In-depth knowledge of maritime laws and regulations
• Ability to make quick and critical decisions in high-pressure situations
• Flexible schedule and willingness to work long hours as needed
• Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the job
