About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Building Materials Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our building materials warehouse, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety at all times. You will play a crucial role in managing inventory, supervising a team of warehouse staff, and maintaining a smooth workflow in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the building materials warehouse, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed, and proper equipment and procedures are used to prevent accidents in the warehouse.
• Supervise a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting regular physical counts and reconciling discrepancies.
• Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to the warehouse.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand their materials and delivery needs, and ensure that they are met efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, ensuring that materials are stored in designated locations and that all aisles and walkways are clear.
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for warehouse operations, and continuously look for ways to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Prepare reports on warehouse operations, including inventory levels, material usage, and staff performance.
• Monitor and track the performance of warehouse equipment, and schedule repairs or maintenance as needed.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations related to building materials warehousing.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a warehouse supervisory role, preferably in the construction or building materials industry.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management systems.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse setting.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
