Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GPS Data Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a GPS Data Specialist, you will be responsible for the collection, management, and analysis of geographical data using Global Positioning System (GPS) technology. You will work closely with our team of GIS professionals to ensure accurate and up-to-date data is available for use in various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and record GPS data using handheld devices and other GPS equipment.
• Manage and maintain GPS data using GIS software and databases.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
• Analyze GPS data and create reports and visualizations for mapping and decision-making purposes.
• Collaborate with GIS team to integrate GPS data with other spatial data layers.
• Stay current with advancements in GPS technology and recommend improvements to data collection and management processes.
• Communicate with project managers and clients to understand data requirements and provide timely and accurate deliverables.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with GPS data and GIS software.
• Strong understanding of GPS technology and data collection methods.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar.
• Experience with data management and quality control processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
