Position: AWS Security Manager

Location: Cheyenne, Wyoming, United States

ProtectionFirst is a fast-growing tech company that specializes in providing top-of-the-line cloud services to businesses of all sizes. Our platform is built on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AWS Security Manager to join our team.As an AWS Security Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of our AWS environment. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to implement and maintain security protocols, policies, and procedures. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential security risks and threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement security policies and procedures for our AWS environment
• Monitor and maintain security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability assessments
• Conduct security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and make recommendations for improvement
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and best practices in the AWS space
• Work closely with the development and operations teams to implement security measures in line with compliance requirements (e.g. HIPAA, GDPR)
• Respond to security incidents and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve them in a timely manner
• Conduct regular security training for employees to ensure awareness and compliance with security policies
• Manage and maintain access control systems for our AWS environment
• Collaborate with external security vendors and auditors as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years of experience in AWS security
• Strong knowledge of AWS security best practices and services (e.g. IAM, VPC, S3, CloudTrail)
• Experience with security and compliance frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001)
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g. CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proven track record of implementing and managing security controls in a cloud environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Industry certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus
