Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for all critical data systems in accordance with industry best practices and company policies.
Monitor and maintain backup systems to ensure data is backed up accurately and in a timely manner.
Regularly test backup and recovery processes to identify and address any potential issues or vulnerabilities.
Troubleshoot and resolve any backup and recovery related issues, working closely with other IT teams as needed.
Keep up-to-date with advancements in data storage and backup technologies, and make recommendations for improvements to existing systems.
Collaborate with the security team to ensure all backups are encrypted and follow data security protocols.
Develop and maintain documentation of backup and recovery processes, including disaster recovery plans.
Conduct regular audits of backup systems to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Provide training and support to other IT teams and end-users on backup and recovery procedures.
Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical backup and recovery issues.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in data storage and backup systems.
Proficient in backup and recovery software, such as Veeam, Veritas, or Commvault.
Familiarity with cloud-based backup solutions, such as AWS or Azure.
Knowledge of data encryption protocols and best practices.
Experience with disaster recovery planning and testing.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and work off-hours as needed.
