Job Title: Crop Production Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Crop Production Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our farming and crop production activities. You will be responsible for managing a team of farm workers, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and according to quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for sustainable farming practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of farm workers, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
• Plan and organize planting, cultivating, and harvesting schedules to ensure maximum productivity.
• Monitor crop growth and health, and make adjustments to irrigation, fertilizer, and pest control as needed.
• Ensure that all equipment and machinery are properly maintained and in good working condition.
• Implement and oversee safety protocols to protect workers and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of crop production, expenses, and other important data.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to plan and execute crop sales and deliveries.
• Stay current on industry trends and developments, and make recommendations for process improvements.
• Participate in budget planning and oversee expenses to ensure financial goals are met.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture, agronomy, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in crop production.
• Strong knowledge of farming techniques, irrigation systems, and pest management.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment and lift up to 50lbs.
• Proficient in computer applications such as Excel, Word, and agricultural software.
