Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance library services and meet the needs of the community
Manage the library's budget and resources, including identifying funding sources and overseeing expenditures
Hire, train, and supervise library staff, ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment
Develop and maintain a high-quality collection of materials, including books, digital resources, and multimedia materials
Utilize technology to enhance library services and streamline operations
Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders to promote the library and its services
Plan and implement educational and cultural programs for library patrons of all ages
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, and make recommendations for improvements to library services
Handle any issues or concerns related to library operations, including patron complaints and policy violations
Prepare and present reports to the library board, stakeholders, and community members
Keep accurate records of library activities, statistics, and budget reports

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Library Science or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a library management role
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse groups of people
In-depth knowledge of library services, procedures, and technologies
Experience with budget management and resource allocation
Ability to think creatively and strategically to enhance library services and engage the community
Knowledge of current trends and best practices in library services
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
