Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop robotic systems from concept to production, including mechanical, electrical, and software components
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop design solutions
Conduct research and analysis to identify new technologies and techniques that can improve the performance and functionality of robotic systems
Create detailed design specifications, schematics, and models using CAD software
Perform simulations and tests to validate the design and ensure it meets performance requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve any design issues that arise during the development process
Develop and maintain documentation for design processes, procedures, and standards
Participate in design reviews and provide recommendations for improvements
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for safety and quality
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source necessary components and materials for production
Support manufacturing and production teams during the assembly and testing of robotic systems
Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of existing robotic systems and propose improvements for optimization
Stay updated on the latest advancements in robotics technology and incorporate them into the design process

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing robotic systems
Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, electrical systems, and software development for robotics
Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools
Experience with simulation and analysis software such as MATLAB, Simulink, or ANSYS
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations for safety and quality
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
Experience with project management and budgeting is a plus
