Position: Semiconductor Packaging Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Semiconductor Packaging Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in the development and production of cutting-edge semiconductor packaging solutions. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative semiconductor packaging solutions that meet product specifications and industry standards
• Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate different packaging materials and techniques to optimize performance, cost, and manufacturability
• Utilize advanced packaging technologies such as flip-chip, wire bonding, and molding to design robust and reliable packages
• Develop and implement assembly processes and procedures, including die attach, wire bonding, encapsulation, and final inspection, to ensure high-quality packaging
• Perform failure analysis and troubleshoot packaging-related issues to identify root cause and implement corrective actions
• Conduct design reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior engineers to support continuous improvement and innovation in packaging design
• Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to select and qualify new materials, processes, and equipment for packaging development and production
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality control measures, and safety regulations throughout the packaging development and manufacturing process
• Keep abreast of emerging packaging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in semiconductor packaging development, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Proficient in packaging design software such as Cadence, Mentor Graphics, or similar
• In-depth knowledge of advanced packaging technologies, materials, and processes
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including JEDEC, IPC, and ISO
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to conduct failure analysis and troubleshoot packaging-related issues
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality packaging solutions on schedule and within budget
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision and accuracy
