Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Animal Production Manager to join our team. As an Animal Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process of our livestock farm. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our animal production operations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement production plans and strategies to achieve production targets and maximize profitability.
• Oversee all aspects of animal care, including feeding, breeding, health monitoring, and vaccination.
• Manage the farm's resources, including staff, equipment, and supplies, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Monitor and maintain the health and welfare of the animals, ensuring that all livestock are treated humanely and in accordance with industry standards.
• Implement and maintain strict biosecurity protocols to prevent the spread of diseases and ensure the health of the herd.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and nutritionists to develop and implement herd health and nutrition programs.
• Oversee the selection and purchase of new animals to improve the quality of the herd.
• Manage the breeding program to optimize the production of high-quality offspring.
• Monitor and maintain accurate records of animal data, production levels, and expenses.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, buyers, and other industry professionals.
• Continuously identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Train and supervise farm staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest quality of work.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Proven experience in animal production management.
• Strong knowledge of animal health, welfare, and nutrition.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
