Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement innovative research strategies to address key questions in biotechnology
Conduct literature reviews to stay current with the latest research developments and technologies
Design and execute experiments to investigate the function and potential applications of novel biotechnology products
Collect, analyze, and interpret data using a variety of laboratory techniques and equipment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive research projects forward
Present research findings at conferences, meetings, and in scientific publications
Maintain accurate records of experiments and results in accordance with company guidelines
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols in the laboratory
Train and mentor junior research staff as needed
Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and optimization

Qualifications:

PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a research setting, preferably in the biotechnology industry
Strong understanding of molecular biology techniques, including PCR, cloning, and gene editing
Proficient in various laboratory techniques, such as DNA sequencing, protein purification, and cell culture
Experience with data analysis software and statistical analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic research environment
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve effectively
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Familiarity with regulatory requirements for biotechnology research is a plus
