Overview: IdeaForge is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Policy Fellow. As a Policy Fellow, you will work closely with our policy team to develop and implement strategies that support our mission and goals. This role requires an individual who is passionate about policy and has a strong understanding of the political landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis on policy issues related to IdeaForge's mission and goals
• Monitor and track legislative and regulatory developments at the local, state, and federal levels
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, advocacy groups, and industry leaders
• Draft policy briefs, white papers, and other written materials to communicate IdeaForge's position on key issues
• Represent IdeaForge at meetings, conferences, and other events related to policy and advocacy
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between policy initiatives and other organizational goals
• Provide support in the development and execution of advocacy campaigns, including organizing grassroots efforts and engaging with media outlets
• Stay up-to-date on current events and political trends that may impact IdeaForge's work
• Assist in the development and management of the policy department's budget and resources

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in policy, government relations, or advocacy
• Knowledge of policy issues related to IdeaForge's mission and goals
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in drafting policy briefs, white papers, and other materials
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
• Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail
• Passion for social and environmental issues and a commitment to IdeaForge's mission
