Job Title: Farm Manager

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of our farm. As the Farm Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our farm, including crop production, livestock management, and farm maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for sustainable farming practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement annual farm plans, including planting schedules, crop rotation, and livestock management.
• Monitor and maintain the health and well-being of all farm animals, ensuring proper nutrition, housing, and veterinary care.
• Supervise farm employees and provide training and guidance to ensure efficient and effective farm operations.
• Manage farm budgets, track expenses, and analyze financial data to make informed decisions.
• Maintain records of all farm activities, including crop yields, animal production, and equipment maintenance.
• Oversee the purchasing of farm supplies, equipment, and feed, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
• Implement and promote sustainable farming practices, including soil conservation, water management, and integrated pest management.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to farming operations.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop strategies for selling farm products, such as crops, livestock, and value-added products.
• Conduct regular inspections of farm facilities and equipment to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs.
• Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in farming to continually improve farm operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Farm Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in farm management, preferably in a similar role.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of crop production, animal husbandry, and farm equipment.
• Familiarity with sustainable farming practices and environmental regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and farm management software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work long hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
