Job Title: Wireless Network Administrator

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Wireless Network Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. As a Wireless Network Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization’s wireless network infrastructure. You will work closely with other members of the IT team to ensure the smooth operation of our wireless network, troubleshoot any network issues, and implement new technologies to improve network performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and implement wireless network infrastructure, including access points, controllers, and switches.
• Monitor and maintain the organization’s wireless network, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any network issues, including identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities.
• Implement and maintain network security policies and procedures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
• Collaborate with other members of the IT team to integrate wireless networks with other systems and applications.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in wireless networking to continuously improve the organization’s network infrastructure.
• Conduct regular network audits to identify potential risks and make recommendations for improvements.
• Develop and maintain documentation of wireless network architecture, configurations, and procedures.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users on wireless network-related issues.
• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures for the wireless network infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Wireless Network Administrator or similar role.
• Strong understanding of wireless network protocols, including 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax.
• Extensive knowledge of wireless network security protocols, such as WPA2, WPA3, and 802.1x.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools, such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, and Cisco Prime Infrastructure.
• Familiarity with network routing and switching protocols, such as OSPF, BGP, and VLAN.
• Knowledge of network security tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Relevant industry certifications, such as CCNA Wireless or CWNA, are preferred.
