Position: Retail Buyer

Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Buyer to join our team. As a Retail Buyer, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in the success of our company by purchasing the right products at the right price from the right suppliers. You will be responsible for creating and implementing buying strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring that our stores have the best selection of products to meet our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement buying strategies for our retail stores to achieve sales and profit targets
• Identify new and innovative products, trends, and suppliers to expand our product offerings and increase sales
• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices, terms, and conditions for our products
• Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed buying decisions
• Monitor inventory levels and work closely with the inventory management team to ensure that our stores have the right amount of stock at all times
• Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotions and events to drive sales
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify new potential suppliers
• Attend trade shows and industry events to stay updated on market trends and network with suppliers
• Work closely with the visual merchandising team to ensure that products are displayed in an appealing and organized manner
• Keep track of competitors' pricing and product offerings to remain competitive in the market
• Manage the buying budget and ensure that all purchases are within budget and in line with company goals
• Train and mentor junior buying team members to develop their skills and knowledge in the field

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Retail Buyer, preferably in a similar industry
• Proven track record of successfully negotiating with suppliers and achieving sales and profit targets
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience working with inventory management software
• Up-to-date knowledge of market trends and competitor analysis
• Ability to travel to attend trade shows and industry events as needed
