Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough research on assigned topics and gather information from various sources, such as interviews, press releases, and online resources
• Write clear, concise, and engaging scripts for on-air delivery
• Collaborate with producers, editors, and other team members to develop story ideas and angles
• Conduct interviews with individuals, experts, and witnesses to gather first-hand information
• Attend press conferences, events, and other news-worthy activities to gather information and report on them accurately
• Utilize social media platforms to promote and share news stories and engage with the audience
• Stay updated on current events and trends to identify and report on relevant topics
• Adhere to journalistic ethics and standards, such as accuracy, objectivity, and fairness
• Meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure to deliver breaking news stories
• Travel to different locations for on-site reporting, as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Broadcast Journalist or in a similar role
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Strong on-camera presence and confident delivery
• In-depth knowledge of current events, politics, and social issues
• Familiarity with various news sources and ability to fact-check information
• Proficient in using social media platforms for news reporting and promotion
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel, as needed
