Job Title: Infrastructure Architect

Location: Gulu, Uganda

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive infrastructure strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives
• Design and implement reliable, scalable, and secure IT infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of various departments and business units
• Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new infrastructure technologies and solutions
• Collaborate with stakeholders and IT teams to identify and prioritize infrastructure needs, and develop plans to address any gaps or inefficiencies
• Develop and maintain infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization
• Provide technical guidance and support to other IT teams, including Network, Security, and DevOps, to ensure seamless integration and operation of all infrastructure components
• Monitor and analyze infrastructure performance, identifying and addressing any issues or areas for improvement
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in infrastructure technologies, and make recommendations for their integration into our infrastructure
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring that service levels and deliverables are met
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity in the event of a disaster or system failure

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, design, and implementation
• Proven experience in designing and implementing complex, enterprise-level infrastructure solutions
• Strong knowledge of networking, storage, virtualization, and cloud technologies
• Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools
• Familiarity with security and compliance standards, such as ISO 27001 and GDPR
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Certifications in infrastructure technologies, such as CCNA, MCSE, or AWS, are a plus
