Position: Milk Production Supervisor

Location: Victoria, Seychelles

Overview: DairyDelight is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Milk Production Supervisor to join our team. As a Milk Production Supervisor, you will oversee the production process of our dairy products, ensuring high-quality standards are met and production targets are achieved. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for the dairy industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate daily production activities, including scheduling of staff, monitoring of production levels, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols
• Supervise a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a high level of productivity and quality output
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with purchasing department to ensure timely procurement of necessary supplies and ingredients
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency in the production process
• Conduct regular quality checks on raw materials, finished products, and equipment to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
• Identify and troubleshoot production issues, implement corrective actions, and communicate any necessary changes to management
• Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports on production metrics, including efficiency, yield, and waste management
• Implement and enforce sanitation and hygiene protocols to ensure a clean and safe working environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and marketing, to identify opportunities for product improvement and develop new dairy products
• Stay current with industry trends and regulations, and make recommendations for continuous improvement of production processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory role in a dairy production facility
• Extensive knowledge of dairy production processes, equipment, and quality control procedures
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and coach a team
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
