Position: Trade Compliance Manager

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Trade Compliance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international trade laws and regulations, as well as a proven track record of successfully managing trade compliance programs. This is a critical role within our organization, as it ensures our company's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to international trade.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all relevant international trade laws and regulations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all trade compliance matters within the company.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations related to international trade.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify any potential compliance issues and develop corrective action plans.
• Stay up-to-date on all changes and updates to international trade laws and regulations, and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders within the company.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Supply Chain, and Finance, to ensure trade compliance throughout all aspects of the company's operations.
• Manage the trade compliance team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with government agencies and other external partners related to trade compliance.
• Advise senior management on trade compliance risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.
• Monitor and report on trade compliance metrics to ensure the company's performance meets regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in trade compliance, preferably in a managerial role.
• Strong understanding of international trade laws and regulations, including but not limited to import/export controls, sanctions, and customs laws.
• Experience with trade compliance software and systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with government agencies and external partners related to trade compliance.
• Certification in trade compliance (e.g. Certified Customs Specialist) is a plus.
