Position: Production Manager - Rail Manufacturing

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our dynamic team in the rail manufacturing industry. As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process, from planning and scheduling to quality control and budget management. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in manufacturing and a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand and optimize efficiency
• Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase productivity
• Manage and coordinate the activities of production teams, including scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment for production
• Oversee quality control processes to ensure that all products meet company and industry standards
• Develop and maintain production budgets, closely monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in all production activities
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in production technology to continuously improve processes and procedures
• Identify and resolve any production issues or delays in a timely and efficient manner
• Prepare and present production reports and updates to senior management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management, preferably in the rail manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques, including lean manufacturing principles
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team
• Proven experience in budget management and cost control
• Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in a manufacturing setting
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed
