Position: Screenwriter

Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Screenwriter to join our creative team. As a Screenwriter, you will have the unique opportunity to use your storytelling skills and creativity to bring compelling stories to life on the big screen. This is a challenging but rewarding position that requires a passion for film and a strong understanding of the storytelling process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the director, producers, and other members of the creative team to develop original concepts and ideas for film projects.
• Conduct research and gather information to create authentic and engaging storylines.
• Write scripts for feature films, short films, and television shows that adhere to industry standards and client requirements.
• Revise and edit scripts based on feedback from the creative team, producers, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure that the story, characters, and dialogue are compelling and well-developed.
• Collaborate with other writers, script editors, and consultants to improve and refine scripts.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and techniques to continuously improve writing skills.
• Attend meetings, table reads, and screenings as needed.
• Handle rewrites and script doctoring as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Film, English, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Screenwriter, with a strong portfolio of produced work.
• Excellent storytelling skills and a strong understanding of the elements of a compelling story.
• In-depth knowledge of screenplay structure, format, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in screenplay writing software such as Final Draft or Celtx.
• Strong collaborative and communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle constructive criticism.
• Passion for film and a strong understanding of the film industry.
• Ability to adapt to different genres and writing styles.
• Attention to detail and ability to self-edit work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work long and irregular hours when needed.
