Job Overview: We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Student Affairs Director to lead our Student Affairs department. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for student development and a deep understanding of the challenges and needs of college students. The Student Affairs Director will be responsible for managing a team of professionals and overseeing all aspects of student life and activities outside of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans and programs to enhance the overall student experience and promote a positive campus culture.
• Oversee and manage all aspects of the Student Affairs department, including budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with other departments and campus leaders to ensure the alignment of student affairs initiatives with the institution's overall mission and goals.
• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of professionals, including training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to student conduct, housing, student organizations, and other areas of student affairs.
• Foster a diverse and inclusive environment that supports the needs of all students and promotes equity and social justice.
• Serve as a resource for students and provide support and guidance to help them navigate challenges and achieve their personal and academic goals.
• Oversee the planning and execution of campus events and activities, including orientation, cultural celebrations, and student leadership programs.
• Collaborate with external partners and community organizations to provide resources and opportunities for students.
• Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in student affairs and higher education to continuously improve and enhance the student experience.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in student affairs, preferably in a higher education setting.
• Strong understanding of student development theory and experience working with diverse student populations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to manage and develop a team of professionals.
• Experience with budget management and strategic planning.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to student affairs.
• Ability to handle and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the job.
