Fresh Fare Supermarkets is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Database Security Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Database Security Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of our company's databases and sensitive information. You will work closely with our IT team to develop and implement effective security measures to protect our data from potential threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain database security policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations
• Monitor and analyze database activity to identify any potential security breaches
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify any vulnerabilities in the database infrastructure
• Collaborate with the IT team to ensure that all databases are properly configured and secured
• Implement and manage access controls to restrict unauthorized access to sensitive data
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies to continuously improve the security posture of our databases
• Provide regular reports to upper management on the status of database security and any potential risks
• Develop and conduct database security training for employees to promote a culture of security awareness
• Work closely with external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in database security management
• Strong understanding of database architecture and security best practices
• Experience with data encryption, access controls, and vulnerability assessments
• Knowledge of database security laws and regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are a plus
