Job Title: Transportation Planning Analyst

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Transportation Planning Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing transportation data, identifying trends and patterns, and developing strategies to improve transportation efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including logistics, operations, and finance, to develop and implement transportation plans that support the company's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
• Develop and maintain transportation models to forecast demand and capacity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement transportation plans that meet customer requirements and support business objectives
• Monitor and report on transportation KPIs, such as on-time delivery, transit times, and transportation costs
• Conduct research and gather data on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to inform transportation strategies
• Identify and evaluate potential transportation providers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships
• Continuously evaluate and optimize transportation routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with transportation regulations and standards
• Develop and maintain transportation planning policies and procedures
• Prepare and present reports and recommendations to management on transportation performance and opportunities for improvement

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in transportation planning, logistics, or supply chain management
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful insights
• Proficiency in transportation planning software and tools, such as TMS, WMS, and ERP systems
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proven track record of developing and implementing transportation plans that drive cost savings and process improvements
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
