Position: Animal Production Manager

Location: Istanbul, Turkiye

Overview: As the Animal Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of our animal production facility. You will be in charge of a team of animal care specialists and will work closely with other departments to ensure the highest quality of animal care, production, and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal husbandry, leadership skills, and a passion for animal welfare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement production strategies to ensure the facility meets or exceeds production targets while maintaining high standards of animal welfare.
• Manage and coordinate the work of the animal care team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee the health and well-being of all animals in the facility, ensuring proper nutrition, housing, and medical care.
• Monitor and maintain production records, including animal inventory, feed consumption, and production yields.
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to develop and implement effective sales strategies for animal products.
• Work closely with the procurement team to ensure an adequate supply of feed, medication, and other necessary materials.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other industry professionals to stay informed of industry trends and best practices.
• Implement and adhere to all safety and biosecurity protocols to prevent the spread of diseases and ensure the safety of the animals and staff.
• Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs.
• Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.
• Prepare and manage production budgets and make recommendations for cost-saving measures.
• Collaborate with the research and development team to explore new production methods and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in animal production management.
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team.
• Extensive knowledge of animal husbandry, nutrition, and health.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and meet production targets.
