Job Title: Protective Services Officer

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Protective Services Officer to join our team. As a Protective Services Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our organization and its employees. This is a critical role that requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and tact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol the premises to prevent and detect unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security threats.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter potential security breaches and respond quickly to any incidents.
• Conduct regular security checks of all areas, including buildings, parking lots, and other facilities.
• Operate security equipment, including CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
• Respond to emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fires, and natural disasters, and take appropriate action to mitigate risks.
• Enforce company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency services as needed.
• Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of all security-related activities.
• Conduct investigations into security breaches and provide recommendations for improvements to prevent future incidents.
• Train and educate employees on security procedures and protocols.
• Conduct background checks on visitors and contractors entering the premises.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the security manager.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or bachelor's degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a security role, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Experience with security equipment and systems, such as CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
• Knowledge of security best practices and procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Attention to detail and ability to detect and respond to potential security threats.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
