Handyman/Handywoman

The Handyman/Handywoman will primarily work indoors, but may also be required to work outdoors in various weather conditions. This role may involve standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods of time. The candidate must also be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces, as some maintenance tasks may require it.

Job Title: Handyman/Handywoman

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Handyman/Handywoman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance and repair work, with experience in a variety of trades. This is a hands-on role that requires a self-motivated individual with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. As a Handyman/Handywoman, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various aspects of our facilities to ensure they are in top working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and repair work on buildings, equipment, and facilities
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems
• Complete repairs and replacements of faulty or damaged parts
• Inspect and maintain building structures, including roofs, walls, and floors
• Repair or replace windows, doors, and other fixtures as needed
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as painting, caulking, and cleaning
• Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing tasks
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget
• Assist with the assembly and installation of new equipment or furniture as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in general maintenance and repair work
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other trades
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
• Basic computer skills and ability to use maintenance software
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
