Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement high-performance, scalable, and secure databases that meet the needs of our applications and business requirements
Develop and maintain database schemas, stored procedures, and triggers
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum availability
Collaborate with developers to optimize database queries and improve overall system performance
Work with data analytics team to design and implement data models for reporting and analytics purposes
Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery tests to ensure data integrity and availability
Implement and maintain database security measures and access controls
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance database operations and performance
Stay updated with industry trends and new database technologies to continuously improve our database infrastructure

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Engineer or similar role
Strong proficiency in database design and SQL programming
Experience with relational database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra is a plus
Experience with database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting
Knowledge of database security principles and best practices
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
