Title: Freight Broker

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freight Broker to join our growing team. As a Freight Broker, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the transportation of goods between shippers and carriers. You will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods, while maintaining strong relationships with both shippers and carriers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to secure transportation business
• Negotiate rates with carriers to ensure competitive pricing for customers
• Source and select carriers to fulfill transportation needs of shippers
• Coordinate and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
• Verify carrier insurance and operating authority to ensure compliance with industry regulations
• Communicate with shippers and carriers to provide updates on shipment status and address any concerns
• Utilize transportation management systems to manage and track shipments
• Maintain accurate records of all shipments and transactions
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in transportation regulations
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in freight brokerage or logistics industry
• Proven track record of successful sales and customer relationship management
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple shipments simultaneously
• Knowledge of transportation management systems and industry regulations
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
