Position: Packaging Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Packaging Technician to join our team. As a Packaging Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products are properly packaged for shipment or distribution. This includes inspecting, labeling, and assembling packaging materials, as well as operating packaging machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and verify the quality of incoming packaging materials.
• Assemble and label packaging materials according to product specifications.
• Operate packaging machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of packaging materials.
• Ensure that all packaging meets company and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve packaging issues as they arise.
• Maintain a clean and organized packaging workspace.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures while handling packaging materials.
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals and deadlines.
• Communicate any packaging material shortages or concerns to management.
• Continuously look for ways to improve packaging processes and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a packaging or manufacturing role.
• Experience operating packaging machinery and equipment.
• Knowledge of packaging materials and their properties.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• Basic math skills and ability to read and interpret measurements.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
