About the Role: We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Commuter Bus Driver to join our team. As a Commuter Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to and from their desired destinations in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a commuter bus and transport passengers to and from designated locations according to a set schedule
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle
• Maintain a clean and organized bus at all times
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking the bus, including those with special needs
• Collect fares and issue tickets or passes to passengers
• Keep records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts
• Report any incidents or accidents to the appropriate authorities and follow company procedures
• Communicate effectively with passengers, providing them with information regarding routes, schedules, and fares
• Handle any inquiries or concerns from passengers in a professional and courteous manner
• Follow assigned routes and adhere to designated pick-up and drop-off locations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a professional driver
• Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
• Ability to operate a commuter bus in a safe and responsible manner
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Physical ability to sit for extended periods of time and to lift up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening
• Must possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger endorsement
