Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain all data systems, including but not limited to databases, data warehouses, and data lakes
Implement and maintain database security protocols to ensure the protection of sensitive information
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to data systems and databases
Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure efficient data processing and retrieval
Develop and maintain data backup and recovery systems for all databases
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data requirements
Design and implement data models to support data analysis and reporting
Develop and maintain data dictionaries and data standards for the organization
Implement and maintain data governance policies and procedures
Train and support team members on database management and data best practices
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in data systems and recommend improvements to current systems

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data System Administrator or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of database management systems, such as SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL
Experience with data warehousing and data lake technologies
Proficient in data security protocols and procedures
Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Proven track record of successfully managing and maintaining data systems
Experience with data analysis and reporting tools is a plus
