Job Title: Legislative Director

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Legislative Director to join our team. As the Legislative Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all legislative activities and strategies for our organization. You will work closely with our executive team to develop and implement legislative initiatives that align with our company's goals and mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement legislative strategies to advance our company's objectives and priorities.
• Monitor and analyze legislative activities at the local, state, and federal levels that may impact our organization.
• Build and maintain relationships with legislators, government officials, and other stakeholders to advocate for our company's interests.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop policy positions and provide guidance on legislative matters.
• Conduct research and draft legislative proposals and amendments.
• Prepare and deliver testimony at legislative hearings and meetings.
• Develop and manage budgets for legislative activities and initiatives.
• Coordinate and track the progress of bills and regulations and provide updates to the executive team.
• Develop and maintain a network of industry partners and allies to support our legislative efforts.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in legislation that may affect our company's operations.
• Represent our organization at industry events, conferences, and meetings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in legislative affairs or government relations.
• Strong understanding of legislative processes and procedures at the local, state, and federal levels.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful legislative strategies.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with legislators, government officials, and industry partners.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of industry-specific legislation and regulations is preferred.
