Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Legislative Director to join our team and lead our legislative efforts. As the Legislative Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our legislative strategies, building relationships with legislators and their staff, and advocating on behalf of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement legislative strategies in alignment with the organization's goals and objectives
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments at the local, state, and federal levels
• Analyze proposed legislation and provide recommendations on potential impact to the organization
• Build and maintain relationships with legislators and their staff to advocate for our organization's interests
• Plan and coordinate meetings with legislators and their staff to discuss our organization's priorities
• Prepare and present testimony at legislative hearings and meetings
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of legislative efforts with organizational initiatives
• Serve as the main point of contact for legislators and their staff regarding legislative issues
• Conduct research on legislative trends and best practices to inform our organization's advocacy efforts
• Develop and maintain a network of stakeholders, including other organizations and community groups, to support our legislative goals
• Manage a team of legislative staff and provide guidance and support as needed
• Develop and manage a budget for legislative activities
• Represent the organization at industry events and conferences to stay informed on relevant legislative issues

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, or a related field
• 5 of experience in legislative or government affairs
• Strong knowledge of the legislative process at the local, state, and federal levels
• Proven track record of successfully leading legislative efforts and achieving desired outcomes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with legislators and other stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze and interpret complex legislation
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
• Experience developing and managing budgets
• A passion for advocacy and making a difference in the community
