Position: Drilling Engineer

Location: Naples, Italy

Job Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop drilling plans and procedures for both onshore and offshore projects, taking into consideration well design, drilling fluids, and equipment selection.
• Analyze geological data and well logs to determine the most efficient and cost-effective drilling methods.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop contingency plans.
• Collaborate with drilling contractors, service companies, and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of equipment and materials.
• Monitor drilling progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure the project stays on track and within budget.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during drilling operations.
• Develop and maintain drilling cost estimates and budgets.
• Ensure all drilling activities comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to drilling rig personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Prepare reports and presentations on drilling performance and provide recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in drilling operations, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
• Extensive knowledge of drilling principles, practices, and techniques.
• Proficiency in drilling software such as Landmark, Petrel, or WellView.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
