Position: Drilling Operations Coordinator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drilling Operations Coordinator to join our team. As a Drilling Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination and management of all drilling operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with company policies and procedures. You will work closely with various departments and teams to plan, organize, and execute drilling projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement drilling strategies and plans in collaboration with the drilling engineering team, taking into consideration geological data, drilling equipment, and budget constraints.
• Coordinate and monitor drilling activities to ensure compliance with project schedules, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Oversee the procurement and maintenance of drilling equipment and materials, ensuring availability and functionality at all times.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective measures.
• Monitor and analyze drilling performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to optimize drilling efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain accurate drilling reports, including progress reports, cost analysis, and equipment maintenance logs.
• Collaborate with drilling engineers and geologists to analyze drilling data and make recommendations for future drilling projects.
• Manage and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors, negotiate contracts and prices, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Train, mentor, and supervise junior drilling personnel, ensuring their compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and regulations related to drilling operations, and make recommendations for implementation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in drilling operations, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of drilling equipment, techniques, and safety regulations.
• Excellent project management and coordination skills.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and train junior personnel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and drilling software.
• Willingness to travel and work in remote locations and challenging environments.
